Know what goes into the number.
Hire Logix combines published data with transparent planning models. Source measures, model assumptions and your own records serve different purposes.
Market Difficulty
The score combines four normalized signals using the weights shown in the workbook. Local occupational employment represents talent volume; location quotient represents relative concentration. National industry openings provide demand context. O*NET attributes add occupational preparation and outlook context.
Structural factor
The current reference uses Job Zone and Bright Outlook: (Job Zone − 1) ÷ 4 × 85, plus 15 when Bright Outlook is flagged, rounded to one decimal. The scoring engine looks up that reference value. It does not use a licensing requirement flag. These are static reference attributes in this release.
Interpreting the estimate
A lower location quotient means the occupation forms a smaller share of local employment than nationally; it does not by itself tell you the absolute number of workers. JOLTS demand is national by industry, not metro-level vacancies. Time to fill is a model-based planning estimate, not a validated promise of your completion date. Weight adjustments are manual.
Salary Intelligence
BLS OEWS supplies annual occupational wage percentiles where published. Percentiles describe wage distributions and should not be relabeled as seniority bands. Certified Department of Labor H-1B LCA records add filing-wage and employer context for the selected role/market.
LCA wages are filed base wages, not verified actual pay or total compensation. Filings are not unique hires. Placement and non-placement measures refer to filing-level classification; they do not definitively classify an entire business as a staffing company or direct employer. Sample size and coverage affect interpretation.
Campus Intelligence
Coverage includes 390 available four-digit CIP program groups across associate, bachelor and master degrees. Certificates and doctorates are excluded. Start with the original role mappings, select up to five program groups in Advanced, or choose all programs. School geography can be a state or All U.S. (50 states plus DC); other jurisdictions are distinct. Available institution/program records vary by credential.
All loaded matches are scored before up to 25 are displayed. Loaded and displayed counts are explicit. Selections over 25,000 matches must be narrowed rather than truncated. Ranking considers completions, earnings four years after completion, distance from an optional reference point and five-year completions growth. Missing or tied factors receive a neutral 0.5. Classification changes or an unavailable positive baseline can leave growth blank; missing data are not zero. Small starting cohorts can create large growth percentages.
The current release uses IPEDS 2024 completions and a 2019 growth baseline, plus College Scorecard release June 10, 2026 (EARN_MDN_4YR). Completions are historical awards, not unique people or available applicants. Later earnings are not starting salaries. Offer Calibration provides separate occupation-wide wage benchmarks for supported metro, state/DC or national geography; source years are shown in the workbook. The Chicago example uses Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park as a public reference, not a recruiting office. No radius filter is applied.
Recruiting Dashboard
This offline workbook uses your requisition totals and interview events. Completed metrics use explicitly labeled filled-requisition cohorts. Time-to-fill calculations require valid dates. Primary-source scorecards group requisitions; they do not attribute individual candidates to sources. Offer-to-hire yield is distinct from offer acceptance.
Refresh time is not source vintage
Refreshing retrieves the data available through the service. It does not make annual or quarterly publications real-time. Consult the source period beside each measure, and the refresh status for connection or selection problems. Coverage gaps and suppressed data should not be interpreted as zero.
